Dr. Natalia Liapounova
MSc, FRCPC Pediatric Neurologist
Dr. Natalia Liapounova is an Alberta-trained MD for the University of Calgary. She had her residency training in Pediatric Neurology at the University of Alberta – Stollery Children’s Hospital. Dr. Liapounova is a community-based Pediatric Neurologists in Calgary. Dr. Liapounova is fluent in English and Russian
She will be seeing neonatal, pediatric, and young adult patients (25 years old and under) with various neurological conditions. Ex. Headaches, Post-concussive syndrome, Developmental regression/delay, Facial and Body Asymmetries, Movement disorders (tics,tremor), sensory complaints, weakness and seizures. Dr. Liapounova is also available for telephone consults with Family Physicians

Dr. Eric T. Payne
MPH, FRCPC Epileptologist and Pediatric Neurologist
Dr. Payne is a neurologist trained in pediatric neurology, epilepsy, neuroinflammation, and neurocritical care. He is board-certified in Neurology and Clinical Electroencephalography.
He previously worked as an epileptologist and pediatric neurologist at Mayo Clinic (2014-2020) and the Alberta Children’s Hospital (2020-2023).
He completed medical school and residency at the University of Calgary, including fellowship training in pediatric neurocritical care and epilepsy at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
He obtained a Master of Public Health from Harvard University and is board certified in Neurology (FRCPC) and Clinical Electroencephalography (CSCN).
